Aidy Boothroyd takes his Coventry City side to Northampton's Sixfields Stadium on Wednesday evening where he will hope the Sky Blues can end their scoring drought.
In their last two games against the lowly opposition of Nuneaton and Hinckley, City have failed to score, although they have not conceded either as both games ended in goalless draws.
City boss Aidy Boothroyd remains unconcerned about sterile state of his strikers. Speaking after the last game against Hinckley, he said, "Pre season is obviously about physical conditioning, but it's also about the mental preparation as well."
"Hinckley gave us a good game and in them we were facing a side that for the first half an hour went all out because they are trying to please their manager and it's like their cup final."
"I thought we might have scored because we had enough chances to win a couple of games, but that will come with time."
