Coventry City Assistant Manager and Goalkeeping Coach Tim Flowers has said that it is just a toss of the coin as to who starts in goal for City first team games.
Nothing Between The Keepers
Said Flowers who knows what it is like to wear the City goalkeepers's kit to the club website: "It was the toss of a coin really, "They have both been excellent during pre-season and done very well in training.
I think Dimi needed to wake up and smell the coffee in terms of what was required from a fitness point of view at this level.
It was certainly a step up from what he was used to. But the penny has dropped very quickly with him which has been a good sign. He has responded to that.
"I think Dimi did really well on Saturday. He came for the crosses, did well in the air and kicked it well as well as pulling off the saves when he needed him to. I don't know about getting chipped for a penalty though! I would never have expected that!
I was impressed with Dimi and Andy Marshall was Player of the Year
last season and a tough man to keep out of the side. "They are as good as gold together. They work hard together but there's a friendship there. Mash was the first to wish him all the best and I have a lot of respect for that."
