Coventry City loanee Frank Nouble has that if he gets fitter he can run the show.
The scorer of City's winning goal against Gillingham on Friday night, told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Working hard goes without saying.
“I’m used to the high-pressing game because that’s how we play at Ipswich and I just want to show my qualities, which I think I did in the game, and get a bit fitter because I’ve not really played. And if I do that I think I can run the show.
“I only found out on Thursday that I was going to start the game, having thought I might go on as a sub after 70 minutes or something,” said the deadline-day signing.
“And then I had this dream that I scored on my debut. I played it through in my mind, coming back to the stadium and knowing that it would be such an emotional night for the fans.
“It was a great move and at first I didn’t think Haynesy had seen me,” said Nouble, “but I just had to make sure I opened my foot up and hit it well to send it into the bottom corner.
“And I think the players reacted to that and you could see it by the way we started. We faded later in the game but we showed great character to win. I just gave everything I could and loved every minute.”
