Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that Frank Nouble has to work hard in training in order to get a place in the team.
Nouble was left out of the City squad which faced Port Vale due to Pressley bringing Arron Martin back into defence and taking the number of loanees in the starting eleven up to the maximum of five and speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Pressley said:“I kept the same formation because I thought it worked well at Bristol without getting the result our performance merited.
“Our possession of the ball has been greater and we’ve dominated the middle of the field.
“With Aaron coming back into the team that meant that unfortunately I had a decision to make because rules are rules and I have to abide by them.
“Josh has suffered as a consequence of that, but he deserved to retain his place after the way he played at Bristol so I had to speak to Frank and explain the situation.
“He was obviously very disappointed but understanding and now it’s down to him to keep working hard in training and give me another tough decision to make.”
