Nuneaton Town and Leamington FC both started their season with a win.
Back in the Conference North, Nuneaton traveled to Guisely and in front of a gate of 500, won 2-1 with goals from Daniel (52) and Dillon (58) after Walshaw had given the Yorkshire men a 28th minute lead.
Leamington also came from behind to win their opening Southern League Premier Division game of the season. At home to Bashley, in front of a crowd of 513, Knowles put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute before a brace from Luke Corbett in the 26th and 73rd minute, gave The Brakes the win.
In Division One Central, Atherstone started off with a 2-1 win over AFC Hayes with Perry and Keane on the scoresheet.
Rugby Town came back to draw 1-1 at home to Hitchin. Hamilton's 47th minute goal gave VS a point and ruled out Arlick's 35th minute penalty.
Bedworth United went down to a 2-1 defeat at Burnham Town. A goal from Withers in the 37th minute had the Greenbacks ahead but Bird and Hill scored in the second half to send Bedworth to defeat.
In the FA Cup, Stratford Town are through to the 1st Qualifying Round following a 4-1 victory against Loughborough Uni and Nuneaton Griff also went through thanks to a 2-1 win over Midland Alliance side Studley.
