Nuneaton Town have become a feeder club for Coventry City.

City Academy boss Greg Rioch met with Nuneaton officials at the Nuneaton V Leamington Birmingham Senior Cup game last week and a link between the two clubs for younger players has been established.

Nuneaton's Ian Brown told his club's website: "Coventry City and Nuneaton Town are building a a great working relationship and this will benefit both clubs. For the players, this is a different step and the next stage in their football development.

"At an Academy, players learn good football, playing from the back and good technique. Nuneaton can carry that on for them. Coming to Nuneaton is winning football, a lot different from the Academy game. Nuneaton is a great stage and step for the player. At Nuneaton, there is a style of football that allows for the player to develop, we have seen how Adam Walker has progressed at the club.

"I have seen some of these players for a number of years now and Mark Noon has the ability to see them day in day out. Playing Academy football is one thing but the step into this level of football will allow both parties to benefit.
