Coventry City striker Roy O'Donovan heaped praise on the Academy players who played alongside him in the pre-season friendly game at Nuneaton last Saturday.
The City manager Andy Thorn had promised to give most of those players who were fit a chance to play and at half time made nine changes and later made two more substitutions.
O'Donovan came on in the second half and scored both of City's goals in the 2-2 draw, but reserved his praise for the City youngsters.
He said to the CT: "I thought the young lads did incredibly well. It was nice linking up with Shaun Jeffers, Callum Wilson and seniors like Richard Wood (Pictured below) coming on in the second half ensured that things stayed calm."
"We're looking at the next game now against Hinckley and that is another chance to show what I can do but it is the same for everybody so we're all looking forward to it."
