Coventry City Youth are out of the FA Youth Cup after a 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa
Around one hundred and twenty plus City supporters made their way to Villa Park on a bitterly cold night to see City who had won at Lincoln and Accrington, take to the field in their grey kit.
City attacked down the right towards the Holte End and had the supporters, many of whom were very young when The Sky Blues last played at Villa Park, cheering after only fifty seconds when a ball from Jack Burroughs was deflected into the net on Keiran Boucher's left hand side.
In the ninth minute, Villa levelled when Colin Odutayo got the ball on his right, cut inside and sent a lovely shot high into the far corner of the net.
The sleet and snow came down as Odutayo continued to look the best player on the pitch and the only difference between the two sides and in the 66th minute, he fired Villa ahead wih a stunning 28 yard drive into the net.
City had a few chances towards the end but some of their passing let them down and the goal needed to force extra time and penalties never came.
