Olympic Football In Coventry Gets A Thumbs Up

The London 2012 Olympic Football tournament with matches being played at the home of Coventry City is capturing the imagaination of Coventry people.

47% of those who responded to a poll on this site, said that they were going to a game whilst 24% said they were thinking about going to a game or Olympic event in July 2012.

Some City supporters were not prepared to miss out on seeing their beloved Sky Blues in pre-season action and 20% said they would rather watch City's friendlies which will all have to be away, rather than go to a game at the City of Coventry Stadium.

Nine per cent, however, won't be going as they are not prepared to pay the prices being asked to watch women's football which from the schedules, it looks likes many of the twelve matches due to be played in Coventry will be.

However, it should be noted that there was a poor turn out of voters and these views should not be taken as a reflection of the viewpoint of the people of Coventry & Warwickshire and the Coventry City support at large.
