Jurors at Northampton Crown Court heard that former City striker for one and a bit games last season Onandi Lowe wet himself when he was stopped by police in Milton Keynes who searched his car.
During a police interview, Lowe told officers that he was heading towards Milton Keynes to hand over the package to a friend who had asked to have the box delivered to his house.
Mr Donnellan prosecuting said: "This package had originally contained high-value drugs worth well over £100,000. You can't send these to people that you can't trust, it is too much to lose. He was trusted."
