Devon Kelly Evans has signed a one year professional deal with Coventry City.
The eighteen year old City supporter from Holbrooks, made his City debut in the pre-season defeat at Stevenage and had the number 39 shirt during the season just gone.
Speaking about his new deal, Devon said it was a relief to get one and said: "I’ve supported this club since I was a kid, I live two minutes from the ground so it’s a dream really. I wanted to do this for my Mum and Dad."
U18's coach Jason Farndon said about him: “Devon has been extremely versatile, playing in every single position this year apart from in goal.
“He hasn’t moaned once and has shown great commitment to the cause. Hopefully Devon can kick on and get some game time in pre-season, much like he did last summer.
“Devon’s preferred position is as a left-midfield player, but his versatility and application will help him in his progression during his first year as a professional footballer.”
