The article reads: "Geoffrey Robinson began to have serious doubts about manager Micky Adams after the New Year's Day defeat against Leeds.
So much so, that he decided to phone Sky Sports pundit Andy Gray for advice on possible replacements for Adams, whose struggling side have slipped to 16th in the Championship with just one point from their last six games.
Only trouble was that Robinson called another former footballer named Andy Gray instead and started outlining his concerns about Adams.
But the Gray on the line, a former football agent now working in the oil business in Sierra Leone, has been close friends with Adams ever since they played at Gillingham together more than 20 years ago.
Robinson quickly ended the call as soon as he realised that he was speaking to the wrong Andy Gray, whose immediate reaction was to phone his mate Adams and tell him to watch his back because his chairman was trying to replace him. Adams is understood to have confronted Robinson about the call, while agent turned oilman
Gray, a former Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Aston Villa player, said: "It's a disgrace that the Coventry chairman should be attempting to talk to Sky pundits about replacements for a manager who is still in a job. I told him to consult his board of directors or the fans, rather than Sky TV, behind Micky's back. He doesn't deserve that sort of treatment."
