Had City been safe, both would have missed the game but Chris Coleman has announced that he has postponed Doyle's hernia operation and Ward's ankle surgery.
The pair will now be operated on next week and will be back when training resumes on July 1st.
Keeper Andy Marshall will also have an operation on his back next week.
