Coventry City manager Mark Robins described the Sky Blues 4-1 win at Doncaster Rovers as the best performance since he took over.
City scored four quality goals with another brace for David McGoldrick and speaking to the Press Association, Robins said: "I'm made up for the players and the fans - this was our best performance since I came to the club.
"We got all aspects of our game right and the competitive side was particularly pleasing because we won most of the second balls and dealt with the aerial bombardment brilliantly.
"It would have been nice to have kept a clean sheet but if you can score four goals I'm not going to complain about that.
"The lads deserve their Christmas party but we can't get carried away because football can kick you in the teeth if you do.
"Our application without the ball was tremendous and we could have scored more but you can't be greedy and I'm not going to grumble about that."
