Coventry born Michael Byng has said that the investors in his consortium which also includes railway experts, are serious about their intentions to buy Coventry City and the Ricoh Arena.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Les Reid, Mr Byng said: "It is a serious bid. It is a very serious proposal. They (the potential investors) want to understand what assets (in CCFC Ltd) they are buying.
"They are aware of the arguments between Sisu and the city council and don't want to take sides, but want to help the city resurrect the football club.
"The client came to look at something in the Midlands, then we got talking about the opportunity for Ricoh Arena and football club.
"They said it would help our cause if we could offer help to the football club in various guises. It blossomed into a complete bid.
"Expressions of interest (indicative bids) have to be in with the administrator by Friday. We have to look at the arguments around the Ricoh Arena, and there are a lot of things going on at the moment."
