Former Coventry City defender Robert Page has been officially appointed manager of Port Vale.
Page has been the caretaker following the departure of Micky Adams and has done enough for Coventry born Vale Chairman Norman Smurthwaite to give him the job for the rest of the season.
“I am really pleased. I had a conversation with the chairman and he has offered me the opportunity to manage the club, which I am very grateful for, " Page told the Stoke Sentinel.
“I think the difference in the approach to games, especially at home, is there for everyone to see and long may it continue."
