Robert Page has described the defeat by his Port Vale side to Coventry City as very disappointing.
Speaking to the Stoke Sentinel, Page said: “I am very disappointed. I thought we started the brighter of the two teams and had a lot of possession.
“But we knew what they were going to do, they were going to frustrate us and get bodies behind the ball.
“In the second half they changed it slightly and I thought we could have used the ball a lot better than we did in the second half.
“I think at times some of our forward play wasn’t up to the standard we have set in the past and that is what makes it bitterly disappointing.”
