Robert Page has left Coventry City and signed for Huddersfield Town. The defender sorted out his contract with Coventry City and signed for the League One club.

The Welsh international joined City from Cardiff and made 76 appearances for City, but could not command a place in the first team this season.

He played well for City Reserves in his nine appearances this season and attracted the interest of Huddersfield who signed him on a free transfer.

Speaking to Huddersfield Town's website, Page said:
"I heard about the offer in the week when Iain Dowie called me and mentioned Huddersfield were interested. I need to be playing games and obviously I've not been playing at Coventry so it was an easy decision to make.

Huddersfield is a big club and somewhere I wanted to come. Everyone I've spoken to has spoken highly of the manager; I haven't had much chance to speak to him myself but we just said I need to get the final bits of my medical out of the way and hopefully I'll be training with the rest of the lads tomorrow."

"I didn't want to make a rash decision; it had to be somewhere that was right for me. Geographically it's a bit better for me than Coventry, but not only that, Huddersfield is a big club. It's another good challenge and a new start for me that I'm thoroughly looking forward to

"Now I'm here I just want to get my boots on and crack on with things. I'm looking forward to the first game and getting involved with the lads
