Robert Page has told the CET that it is an upheavel for him to leave Cardiff City and join the Sky Blues.
The Welsh international said: It's hurts to leave Cardiff but Coventry havee offered me a chance I had to take.
"I can't grumble about not playing recently because James Collins and Danny Gabbidon are doing so well. "But that's no good for Robert Page and it was worse after I had another taste of international football and captained Wales in the 2-0 win against Hungary earlier this month.
"I want more and the only way that is possible is if I am playing first team football and putting myself in the best position to earn more caps. I need to be playing Championship football.
"Coventry are a fantastic club, they have a new stadium and hopefully I be a Coventry City player.
"I'm still injured. I suffered a torn muscle behind a knee while playing for Wales and I'll be out for another couple of weeks.
"It's awkward leaving Cardiff, a club I love, for Coventry in one way because both are low in the Championship table.
"The last thing I would want is my new club Coventry to go down, but I also want Cardiff to finish their season well. "I'll be happy if both stay up and that's something I expect to happen. Certainly, Cardiff are a far better team than their league position suggests."
