The going into administration by Crystal Palace has lifted Coventry City a place higher in the Championship table.
The Football League today, confirmed that ten points had been deducted from the Surrey based club and that Palace now have 27 points.
A statement issued by the Football League reads: "Following receipt of formal confirmation that Crystal Palace Football Club has gone into administration, the Football League can confirm a sporting sanction of 10 points will apply with immediate effect."
Coventry City are now in 16th place whilst Crystal Palace have dropped from ninth to 21st and are now just three points clear of the relegation zone.
