Wycombe Wanderers Captain Paul Hayes has said that his side have plenty to play for against Coventry City at Adams Park tomorrow night.
Both Coventry City and Wycombe have won their two EFL Trophy First Round Southern Section Group D matches and go into the final group game which kicks off at 7.45pm knowing that the winner on the night will have home advantage in the Second Round.
Hayes told Get Bucks: “If you win you play a team who finished second in one of the other group, so that's an incentive for us, and I think play at home as well, which will benefit us – not to mention potentially earning £10k for the club.
“There will also be fringe players wanting to prove they should be playing, and players coming back from injury wanting to show they are back on form, so all round, we'll go into the game wanting to win.”
