Pearson Frustrated At Goalless Draw

Hull City manager Nigel Pearson has admitted his frustration at his sides failure to score in yet another home game.
The Tigers played out a 0-0 draw with visitors Coventry City on Saturday, the first game this season in which Coventry have failed to score. Unfortunately for Pearson though, his side can't seem to be able to buy a goal, but he is beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.
A rueful Pearson said: "It's the same old story to an extent, but I do think we're making progress. To only have 12 points after 10 games is disappointing. It's clear where we need to improve."
"I'm aware of our shortcomings and we need to work hard to improve them. It's frustrating in some ways, but I'm confident we'll improve. We are not scoring goals or creating enough chances. It's something we'll have to solve."
"To not concede any goals in our first five games at home is creditable, but clearly we need to have more of a goal threat."
Last week Pearson moved to try to solve his scoring woes by taking Rowan Vine on loan from league leaders QPR.
Although even with Vine installed in the Hull team, The Tigers still remained toothless and goalless, but Pearson was pleased with his sides progress
Pearson concluded: "Rowan gives us a different dimension. We don't have too many targets to hit. When you consider he's only played three reserve games recently, he contributed really positively to the team today."
