Gillingham manager Ady Pennock has said that he was bitterly disappointed after his side lost 2-1 at bottom of League One Coventry City.

Gillingham went two goals down before Max Ehmer pulled a goal back but it was not enough and Pennock told the Kent Messenger:“I’m bitterly disappointed.

“Again, they can’t defend to save their lives and you may as well play the same record. We gave away two goals and it’s disappointing.

“They won every second ball in the first half and I have seen the goals. They have got a centre forward in the middle of the six yard box and it happened twice. We don’t get that. We don’t get that at all.

“Their defenders are throwing their bodies at it and we don’t get any tap-ins. That was the difference.

“First half we gave them time all over the pitch, second half we didn’t and we played much better.

“There was some good football being played and we were very unfortunate not to get a result.

“It was chalk and cheese but in the second half it didn’t fall for us.”
