One of the strikers that Coventry City are thought to be interested in signing, the veteran striker Kevin Phillips, is currently in negotiations with two Championship clubs, but neither of are Coventry City.
Phillips is available on a free transfer after his contract with Birmingham City expired and was not renewed and Coventry manager Andy Thorn said last month he would like to speak to the striker.
The Shields Gazette is reporting that Phillips is in discussions with two clubs, but claims that Coventry have not made any attempt to contact the player.
