Former Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that Clive Platt, who has signed for him at Northampton Town wants to play for a winning team.
Spaking about Platt who has signed a two year deal at Northampton, Boothroyd told the Northampton Chronicle; “He has spent a lot of time in the lower leagues but he made a big difference to us at Coventry and I think it is a coup to bring him here.
“The first thing he said to me was that he wanted to be somewhere where he was playing in a winning team.
“His time at Coventry last season will have re-ignited his hunger to win things because they didn’t win a lot when he was there.”
