Former Coventry City youngster Tom Bates is now a player-coach with Barwell FC.
Bates, who hails from Mount Nod, joined City as a 17 year old in 2003 and was the youngest ever player when he came on as a substitute against Ipswich Town.
He has spent a number of years in non-league football with two spells at Coventry Sphinx amongst others and has been at Barwell who play in the Northern Premier League.
Bates has been coaching for a while and has now moved up to player-coach at Barwell, who have former City youngsters Jacob Whitmore and Craig Reid who scored in Saturday's draw with Ashton, in their squad.
