Marlon King has said that lure of European football was too much for him to turn down.
King left Coventry City after scoring thirteen goals and after a war of words with the Sky Blues about the offer or non-offer of the contract he wanted, depending on who you believe, he moved up the A45 to Birmingham City.
Speaking to Sky Sports, King said that prospect of European football was one of the reasons that he signed for Birmngham City and said: "I had a few offers in the summer but Birmingham is a big club.
"When the opportunity came up I wanted to sign for Blues. "The lure of Europe played a big part in it and I know we are going to be in the mix for promotion at the end of the season. That was important to me as well.
"I am no spring chicken, these opportunities don't come up every day and every player will tell you that he wants to play in the top competitions - Europe is one of them."
