Coventry City manager Steven Pressley felt there was a lot of plus points from the 2-0 defeat at Fleetwood Town on Wednesday night.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Pressley said: “There were lots of plus points, not least the fact that we look very fit and strong at this moment in time.
“We had a lot of possession in the first half but didn’t penetrate enough and I spoke about that at half time and the need for Mani Manset to play up as a No.9 more and hold his position to stretch the game and allow Franck Moussa to be far more dominant in the positions we want to get him into.
“But this is what pre-season is about, it’s about continuously improving and in the second half I thought for the first half an hour until the changes were made that we were terrific, creating chances and having total domination of the game.
“We passed with real purpose and dominated against a really good side and then, obviously, the last 15 minutes we gave the young players an opportunity and it’s great for them. It’s about bringing them on and they’ll only improve by being exposed to real time football, so all in all it was a great work out for us.”
