Plymouth Argyle are looking to strengthen their side ahead of Saturday's trip to face Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.
Pilgrim's boss Paul Mariner is hoping that international clearance will be received for Zimbabwean left-back Onismor Bhasera, who has played in South Africa for Kaiser Chiefs and that West Ham will loan them Bondz N'Gala.
Speaking to BBC Devon, Mariner said: "If we get this player [Bhasera] he'll be a tremendous player for Plymouth Argyle.
"We've had him [N'Gala] in before, there's just a couple of things West Ham had to sort out before they could let him out to us.
"We're very grateful to Gianfranco Zola and Steve Clarke for letting him come out to us."
