Reading boss Brian McDermott was happy with a point from the 0-0 draw at Coventry City this afternoon.
Speaking to Press Association, McDermott said: "We've gone from 12th in the league 16 games ago into the play-off places, and what the players have done in that time is incredible. We've won 11, drawn three and lost two.
"We've just been ticking off each game and this is a remarkable achievement from where they were to where they are now.
"The last thing I wanted was to be looking over our shoulders next week so the point was enough today. We'll take that. We didn't play particularly great but we know that and we got what we came here for.
"I'm not sure exactly what's changed. There is a great spirit, desire and determination. We've got good players, good staff and we've got pace and goals in the team.
"We had a meeting with 17 games to go just before the game at Norwich and we got beat in the 94th minute. That could have knocked the confidence but we drew at Palace and then when on a run of eight games when we won them all.
"Sometimes in football you don't get to enjoy what you have achieved but we've done so well up to now. We want more, though. Now we are effectively in a cup semi-final to get into a Wembley final and one of the most prestigious games in the world."
