Portsmouth and Hartlepool United were relegated from League One.
The two club's relegation was confirmed tonight when Matt Smith's first half header was enough to give Oldham Athletic, managed by Lee Johnson a 1-0 win against Yeovil Town, managed by Lee's dad Gary at Boundary Park.
Oldham are five points clear of fourth from bottom Scunthorpe United who lost 2-1 at already relegated Bury for whom former Coventry City youngster Jonson Clarke-Harris scored.
At the other end of the table, there was a bizarre game of nine yellow cards, three players sent off and four penalties in a 2-2 draw between Sheffield United and Brentford, who are now only a point behind second place AFC Bournemouth.
Sixth placed Swindon beat Crewe 4-1 whilst seventh placed MK Dons won 2-0 at Colchester United.
