Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that pre-season will very much mirror that of last season.
The City players go back to training on July 4th in preparation for the season which starts on Saturday August 9th and Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "The pre-season will almost mirror last season.
“We felt all the players got the appropriate game time and the flow of the pre-season went well last summer.
“We started the season in a very positive manner, hitting the ground running, and we want to replicate that again.
“I felt the fitness levels, the planning and the length of the pre-season was spot on. There are several clubs coming back earlier than ourselves but we feel that the length of time between us returning and the first game of the season is an adequate time, exactly the same as last year, when the players responded well to it.
“Come the first game of the season they were hungry and ready to go and I just feel that we need to keep things the same again.
“A good start is vitally important, especially going into the season without a points deduction, so if we manage to hit the ground running then we would certainly generate a great excitement among our supporters.”
