Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that criticism does not bother him.

The City boss has received plenty of criticism from City supporters for a string of defeats to the likes of Scunthorpe, Rochdale, bottom side Crewe and top of the table Bristol City but said he was not bothered about the flak he is taking.

Speaking at this morning’s press conference, Pressley said to the Coventry Telegraph’s Aidan McCartney: "It's probably been the most disappointing spell as my five years as manager. We have to get results for this football.

"The criticism doesn't get to me, the real test is adversity, in society today we don't like adversity, this is a time when we need to unite, need to show our mettle as a football club.

"That's part the parcel of being a football manager."
