Coventry City manager Steven Pressley feels that he is both a manager and a coach.
Pressley was asked the question of whether he considers himeself to be a coach or a manager at yesterday's press conference by the Coventry Telegraph on a behalf of a supporter and replied: “That’s a good a good question, actually. The tactical and analysis work is an area that I always take total control of.
“The sessions, in terms of passing drills, the possession and small-sided games are something that I like my coaches to take but as soon as we go into 11 v 11 tactical work or we do analysis work with the group I always head those aspects of it.
“So I would have thought a little bit of both. I manage but I also coach, to a degree, but not all of the session. I love the detail and tactical detail of the game, so I prefer that to the actual taking of sessions.
"The drills and small-sided game sessions are something Neil MacFarlane excels in and he heads that.”
