Pressley Fears For Ricoh PItch

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has again expressed his concerns at the state of the pitch at the Ricoh Arena.

Pressley told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “It would be nice to play on a decent pitch.

“It’s a frustration of ours just now although I’m not going to use it as an excuse.

“But we’re a team that want to pass and we train that way, but I have said we have to adapt.

“My biggest fear now is when the rugby starts because rugby union has a lot of scrummage and on a Desso pitch it can deal with that but on a grass pitch like the Ricoh, it’s going to be horrendous. And that’s my biggest concern.

“I’m resigned to the fact that it’s going to be like that so we’re going to have to find a way to deal with it. We have to, and you can always find a way.”
