Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he has to ensure that he gets best value for the money he spends on players this season.
With Financial Fair Play hitting and City reported as being on a budget south of what they had this season, money is going to be tight.
Pressley, who has been accused by his critics of wasting the club's money on players like Mattieu Manset and Denzel Slager, told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "One of the things over the course of the summer is that we have to be quite strategic in the way we utilise our budget.
“I want to ensure we put together the best squad possible and also fill the most vital areas within that squad first.
“But I have to ensure I get the best value for our money during the summer.”
