Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted that the opening three games of the season will be tough for the Sky Blues.
City travel to Bradford City on August 9th and after a League Cup tie against Cardiff City, face games against Sheffield United and Barnsley.
Speaking about the fixtures which were released this morning, Pressley said to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “It’s a tough start, certainly on paper. “Looking at it the first three fixtures of the season they all teams who you would consider would be challenging for promotion next season.
“So it is a tough start and, sandwiched inbetween is the Cup game against Cardiff City which will be another huge test for us, so it’s a really challenging start.
“As I have constantly said, you can analyse the fixtures any way you want but they are only good or bad fixtures depending on results.
“Looking at last season some of our best performances were against the teams in the upper half of the table, so we shouldn’t fear anybody."
