Coventry City manager Steven Pressley is looking to make up game time after the planned game against a Top X1 Lega Pro One And Two side was called off on Saturday morning.
The Sky Blues boss was due to give as many of his players as possible a run out in what was due to be the final game of the Italian Tour but torrential rain meant that the game did not go ahead and City flew back having played only three games.
This week, City play Newport County at Spytty Park, Watford at Boreham Wood, Bristol Rovers and Stevenage and the City boss will attempt to give his players as much match time as possible.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, the City boss said: “We have obviously got four games and the intention was that most of the players would be involved in two, but I might have to change that now so that a big percentage take part in three.
“We obviously need to catch up on game time but we’ll deal with the situation and look for solutions.
“Overall I have been delighted with the group and their progress and performances on the tour. We have seen a lot of good signs so it has been a very worthwhile exercise.
"We’re just disappointed with situations like Saturday, especially after the abandoned game at Nuneaton.
“It has just affected our schedule and we’ll have to amend that next week and come up with a solution to give the players the appropriate game time.”
