Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole that he was pleased with Jackson and felt that James Maddison had a big influence on the game.
Pressley said: “I was very pleased with Simeon’s response because he hasn’t had much game-time of late and his attitude was terrific.
“James Maddison’s introduction had a big influence on the game and I think for all our supporters he’s a really exciting player – a player who’s going to be a hero for many years to come. We have to manage him in the correct manner.”
This was another match in which the Sky Blues were denied a penalty and Pressley said: “Without doubt we should have had a penalty.
“Every game just now we’re talking about these incidents and we’re just not getting them in our favour but if we continue to work as hard as we have in recent weeks we’ll start to get those decisions.
“Ryan going forward gave us really good quality at times but you’ll always miss Reda Johnson – that’s why I’ve said it’s so important he plays on a regular basis.
“When I spoke to him during that period he understood fully what I expect of him that because the team without and without Reda are two completely different things.”
