Fleetwood Town manager Steven Pressley praised the Coventry City support for the reception they gave him at Highbury on Saturday afternoon.
Although, it was chants of ''Pressley, whats the score?'' following the goal which gave City a win, the Sky Blues support gave him a far better reception when he was unveiled than some of the home support.
Pressley is quoted by the Coventry Telegraph as saying: “I got a wonderful reception from the Coventry fans who I always had a great rapport with during my time at the club.
“It’s great to be back in management but obviously the most important thing is we start winning games. We gave a good account of ourselves, played well for long periods and nullified a very good Coventry side to very few opportunities but we need to turn those 89 minutes of strong performances into results.”
“The Coventry fans were always very understanding of the challenges we faced at the club and I think they appreciated the hard work that we did when we were there.
“I am really pleased to see them doing particularly well this season, although obviously not today, but on the whole they look a strong outfit, that’s for sure.
“My staff said in the office after the game that Coventry are the strongest side they’ve faced this season, so that’s a compliment to them.”
