Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has praised the good work being done by fitness coach Pete Tierney.
The former Academy coach was drafted into the first team management set up last season and had the players fitter than they had ever been.
Speaking about Tierney, Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “To be fair to Pete, I think he’s put together a brilliant schedule.
“The players enjoy working with him and he’s brilliant with them. He’s got a great rapport with the group and we were saying earlier that he's a mad character who very much suits us.
“And in my opinion he is the perfect fitness coach for us and I am delighted with him, I really am.
“He brings enthusiasm, he brings detail and I think that the players understand how hard he works for them, and there’s a great respect from them to him.”
