Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed that he is speaking to players he would like to bring to the club.
The City boss, told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I have meetings with four players this week and am expecting an answer from at least one of them.
“You always hope things go to plan but there are no guarantees that that’s the case. But if these meetings are successful and we can convince people to come here then hopefully we’ll be in a position where we can announce a number of players next week.
“I want new players in for the start of the pre-season so that’s definitely our goal.
“Quite a number of players we have been speaking to expected to stay in the Championship but the longer it goes the more opportunity we have.
“And we find ourselves in the position of being able to speak to a number of targets that we have and had to be patient with and wait until this week to get the opportunity to get in front of them.”
