Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he wants to keep John Fleck.
The Scot has ten months left on his current contract and the City boss would like the midfielder signing on a new deal.
“He’s a player I would love to keep at the club and he’s a player who very much enjoys what we are here,” said Pressley to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.
“But I appreciate he’s an ambitious player so we have to speak to him and hope he can be part of the team we’re building here moving forward.
“I think our own ambitions will have a bearing on that because I am sure that John, like us all, would like to play at a higher level. And I would think if we can achieve that then John would love to be part of that, so that’s something we will have to convince him of.”
