Coventry City captain Carl Baker believes that the playing conditions and the need to fight for every ball that ocurred at Preston North End on Saturday was good preparation for Friday's trip to Sheffield United.
“Saturday’s result turns this next one into a big game now,” said Baker to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.
“We have to go to Sheffield United and make sure we get the three points. It will be a similar type of game because I don’t think their pitch will be the best because the last time I saw it it was cutting up a bit.
“The pitch at Preston was awful and difficult to play on and sometimes you have to change your game plan and drop it into the corners more.
“Maybe it will have done us good playing them before we go to Sheffield before because we’ll know what to expect.”
