Preston North End have an injury problem to overcome for their trip to Coventry on Saturday.
Lillywhites manager Darren Ferguson will be without Elliott Ward who is ineligible to play against his parent club and Youl Mawene is away on compassionate leave.
Adam Barton will definitely miss the game following a bad clash of heads last Saturday in the game against Scunthorpe. He will be assessed over the next 24 hours. The good news is that the injury is not as bad as first feared, it was initially thought he might have a fractured skull, but thankfully this was not the case.
Ferguson will have to make do with Sean St Ledger and Liam Chilvers in the centre of defence and with 17-year-old Bailey Wright being brought into the squad as a possible substitute.
Barry Nicholson will be out with although his broken leg has mended, he still hasn't started training yet. Paul Parry remains out injured as well.
On the positive side for Ferguson Ross Wallace will be available having served his a two match ban. Chris Sedgwick and Darren Carter also both return having both recovered from knee problems and will hope to play in the midfield.
Coventry will be without strikers Jon Stead and Freddy Sears and Freddie Eastwood will be assessed later today or tomorrow to see if he has recovered from a back problem. Eastwood has been training and could feature alongside Clinton Morrison, with young Sean Jeffers likely to be on the bench.
