The use of Print At Home tickets, which is common place for booking a flight and a system used by many football clubs abroad and other sporting clubs closer to home may help to prevent the queues that we witnessed outside of the Ricoh Arena before kick off tonight.
Coventry City, who apologised for the queues and have said they would be investigating how to improve the ticket service, have encouraged many supporters to buy on-line this season.
However, this does require tickets to be collected if orders are taken too late to be posted and it was supporters queueing up to collect tickets which took up much of the long queues which snaked around the outside of the casino.
Covsupport News Service's Steve Barnett has raised this subject before at SCG meetings and we feel that yes there would be an outlay for a number of hand held scanners to read the barcodes and possible software changes etc, but having such a system in place would, in our opinion, alleviate much of any future queues and allow matches to kick off on time with everyone in the stadium.
