Coventry City Chairman Mike McGinnity has called for the capacity at the Arena to be increased. "We desperately need to get up to full capacity because at the moment we are no better off that we were at Highfield Road," said McGinnity to the CET.
"The quicker we get to that point the better, and the quicker we can start making extra revenue to strengthen the squad.
"Unfortunately we were forced to stop selling tickets at 6pm, two hours before kick-off. "Normally we would sell them right up to kick-off and have cash turnstiles available on the night, but the safety people said we couldn't do it.
"Now all we can hope is that they grant us the full capacity as soon as possible and that we start to fill the stadium. "We have this magnificent new arena and now we can only hope that people will come out and support us in it."
