Peter Ramage has recommended that Adam Armstrong should stay at Coventry City.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Ramage, who is a Geordie said: “Being a Newcastle fan I have kept an eye on Adam’s career.I’ve played there and I speak to some of the staff there and he’s got a massive future ahead of him and it’s great to see him come here and scoring goals and hopefully he continues that for the rest of the season.
“This is where my bread and butters is now and if he can stay and help Coventry that’s the main thing, and for his own development I think it would be better for him.
“That’s not my decision and I am just giving my opinion on that but he’s enjoying it here, he’s one of the boys who looks like he’s been here for a while because he’s always in and around the banter.
“He’s a young kid and my recommendation is to stay here at Coventry and play. He’s got a massive future ahead of him and will score goals at the highest level and hopefully he’ll stay here for the rest of the season and score the goals to get us promoted.
“Although I didn’t really know him we are with the same agency and the guy who helps me out looks after him as well.
“So I have got a bit of background about what makes him tick and makes him angry, just dressing room banter.
“But you look after your own and he’s a Geordie - one of me – so I’ll always be there for him if he needs me.”
