In the latest issue of the club's ezine, Mr Ranson says: "Our season tickets are now on sale and I understand they are selling very well and we are up on where we were at this stage last season.
I believe that's a reflection on how we've moved on as a club in the space of 12 months and the fact that we've priced our Early Bird season tickets extremely competitively.
It's been our aim to ensure that we deliver the best possible value to our loyal supporters who commit to the club by buying a season ticket.
So pricing is very important but you also want to see that we are making strides on the pitch too.
I know results of late have dipped but I think you know me well enough now that I am not one to panic about two or three games - especially when I can see the overall progress we are making.
To that end, we announced earlier in the week that we would be looking to sit down with several members of the first team squad in the summer to discuss new contracts.
The long term aim is to keep building as a club and to put together a team that can challenge for the promotion places and, once we achieve that, stay in the Premier League when we get there.
I don't believe there is a quick fix and that is why we have been bringing in good, young players who can develop and improve with us as a club. That's something we will do again in the summer.
Many of those players we brought in last year have established themselves in the first team and we want to keep them here.
That's the only way we can repay your loyalty as supporters. Yes, we will continue to run a whole range of initiatives and will look to ensure that we attract as many new people to the Ricoh as possible.
But I understand that what is happening on the pitch is the most important factor to you.
Thank you to those of you who have already bought your season tickets and it would be great to see a big surge at the weekend and next week."
