Ranson Still Keen On Arena

Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson has said that although buying the share of Arena Coventry Limited is their number one priority, another big priority is the January transfer window.

"It is an on going situation. We have met with the Board of Arena Coventry Limited and we have ongoing dialogue with them. There is no time frame to buy the Arena although it is our number one priority. We have several other things to consider like the January transfer window," said Ranson to the CT.

It's more about timing in consideration with everything else. It would help if attendances picked up but it is the famous chicken and egg situation. You need to prioritise and turn it round on the pitch and then comes the fans and then it becomes worthwhile to buy the stadium.

"So now the club are on a stable footing, the priority is to improve the team and help us get into the top half or play-off spots and push on from there."
